STARK’s Design Team leads STARK’s brand identity, visual communication, concept art, and industrial design. Our team’s purpose is to connect the mission, people, and products to elevate the STARK brand. As a Director of Design, you will be responsible for architecting a brand identity that evokes the appropriate emotions and communicates the correct messages to our customers, employees and the wider public. The ideal candidate will have incredible attention to detail, is highly organized, and able to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment. Define STARK’s brand identity then create the content and marketing campaigns that communicate that brand to our customers, employees and wider audience
Infuse industrial design elements into the engineering product development cycle by working with division leads and product managers
Implement requirements across Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Logistics
Manage prototype build and deployments
Oversee showroom movements
Meticulous tracking of budgets and resources
Source and manage vendors
Coordinate asset delivery internally and externally
Degree in transportation, industrial or related design
Minimum 5 years professional experience in industrial, transportation or related design
Experience with engineering teams and hardware product development is required
Experience with creative teams and clients in a studio or agency environment is preferred
Good knowledge of Microsoft suite of products including PowerPoint, Outlook
Deep understanding of standard production processes and file types in print and digital assets
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
A reliable self-starter, highly organized, resourceful, with attention to detail
A team player who is highly collaborative with the ability to handle complex projects
