We are seeking an experienced Senior Event & Marketing Manager to support and scale STARK’s growing portfolio of defence, security, and strategic technology events. This role will work in close partnership with the Senior Event & Marketing Manager (Lead) and take dedicated ownership of large-scale international exhibitions, while ensuring consistent quality, execution excellence, and strategic alignment across global event and marketing activities.
This is a hands-on, senior-level role suited for a detail-oriented, Berlin based, German-speaking professional with strong experience in complex exhibitions, international stakeholders, and high-sensitivity environments.
Act as dedicated event manager for major international exhibitions (e.g. ILA, DSEI, MSPO and comparable formats), owning planning and execution end-to-end.
Support central event planning across the wider event portfolio in close coordination with the Senior Events & Marketing Manager (Lead).
Drive event strategy and execution in close alignment with overall go-to-market, business development, and communications objectives.
Ensure event presence is high-impact, compliant, and aligned the company’s mission.
Coordinate complex event logistics including booth concepts, demos, briefings, stakeholder meetings, and on-site execution.
Oversee the development and localisation of event marketing materials (giveaways, brochures, presentations, signage, digital assets) in German and English.
Ensure consistent messaging, quality, and brand standards across international events.
Work closely with internal subject-matter experts to translate technical content into effective event communications.
Act as a key interface to external agencies, suppliers, and service providers (creative, PR, digital, AV, logistics, printing).
Coordinate with internal teams across business development, communications, leadership, and operations.
Liaise with government, military, and institutional stakeholders as required to ensure proper protocol and positioning.
Oversee and ensure quality and consistency across international event and marketing activities.
Identify risks, gaps, and improvement areas early and proactively address them.
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of event standards, templates, and processes.
Lead post-event analysis including KPIs, ROI, attendee feedback, and strategic recommendations.
Deliver concise, actionable reports to inform future event strategy and investment decisions.
At least five years’ experience in events and/or marketing roles, preferably in defence, security, aerospace, or technology sectors.
Fluent German and English speaker with excellent writing and editing skills in both languages.
Understanding of defence industry culture, sensitivities, and operational tempo.
Experience handling confidential or sensitive material in line with sector norms.
Highly organised and calm under pressure.
Existing network or familiarity with key defence exhibitions (e.g., ILA, DSEI, MSPO).
Previous work with or in proximity to armed forces, government
Comfort working in a fast-moving, mission-oriented team with senior leadership access.
