We are seeking a detail-oriented Events & Marketing Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of events, demos, exercises and political forums within the defence and security sector. This is a hands-on, mid-senior level role requiring a German-speaking professional, ideally with a strong understanding of military, political and industry forums and events.
You’ll be responsible for identifying the right platforms to position the company, managing complex event logistics, holding the pen on event marketing materials, and ensuring seamless coordination with internal teams, agencies, and service providers.
Identify relevant defence, military, and strategic technology events and ensure timely evaluation and internal alignment.
Lead end-to-end event planning from strategy, briefing, and budgeting to execution and post-event reporting under the guidance of STARK’s broader Go To Market team.
Ensure event presence is high-impact, compliant, and aligned with business development goals and political sensitivities.
Liaise with military and government contacts where necessary to ensure proper protocol and positioning.
Develop marketing strategy which covers event collateral, brochures, signage, presentations, and digital assets—working closely with subject-matter experts.
Own and manage the production timeline; coordinate with creative agencies, printers, and internal teams to meet deadlines.
Oversee localisation of materials (German and English) for different geographies and audiences.
Act as the lead project manager for all marketing activations and events, coordinating cross-functional teams.
Manage relationships with external agencies (creative, PR, digital) and suppliers (AV, logistics, printing) supporting events
Deliver concise post-event evaluations including KPIs, attendee feedback, ROI, and recommendations.
Maintain a centralised record of activities, templates, contacts, and approved messaging for future use.
At least five years’ experience in events and/or marketing roles, preferably in defence, security, aerospace, or technology sectors.
Fluent German and English speaker with excellent writing and editing skills in both languages.
Understanding of defence industry culture, sensitivities, and operational tempo.
Experience handling confidential or sensitive material in line with sector norms.
Highly organised and calm under pressure.
Existing network or familiarity with key defence exhibitions (e.g., ILA, DSEI, MSPO).
Previous work with or in proximity to armed forces, government
Comfort working in a fast-moving, mission-oriented team with senior leadership access.
