About Us
STARK is a new kind of defence technology company revolutionizing the way autonomous systems are deployed across multiple domains. We design, develop and manufacture high performance unmanned systems that are software-defined, mass-scalable, and cost effective. This provides our operators with a decisive edge in highly contested environments.

We’re focused on delivering deployable, high-performance systems—not future promises. In a time of rising threats, STARK is bolstering the technological edge of NATO Allies and their Partners to deter aggression and defend Europe — today.
Your mission
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer to join our R&D team and take ownership of system-level testing for tactical UAV platforms. You will work hands-on with hardware, software, and communication interfaces to ensure overall system stability, performance, and reliability — both in the lab and in the field.
Responsibilities
  • Design and execute comprehensive test plans for UAV platforms, including system-level, integration, and functional testing
  • Develop and maintain automated tests (Python, C/C++) for hardware/software validation if needed
  • Analyze telemetry, logs, and performance data to identify and troubleshoot complex system issues
  • Test communication protocols and system interactions (RS485, TCP/IP, RTSP, Mavlink)
  • Validate hardware and software behavior under real-world and edge-case conditions
  • Use tools like Wireshark, SSH, and custom scripts to debug and monitor system-level interactions
  • Collaborate closely with software, hardware, and flight test teams to localize defects and improve performance
  • Contribute to CI/CD testing infrastructure and automation for system validation
  • Write clear documentation and test reports for internal use and potential certifications
  • Propose process and tooling improvements to strengthen system reliability and QA efficiency
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in QA or system testing (hardware/software focus)
  • Strong understanding of test methodologies for complex systems
  • Hands-on experience with Linux and command-line tools
  • Experience in test automation (Python, C/C++ or similar languages)
  • Familiarity with UAVs, robotics, or hardware-integrated systems
  • Experience working with communication protocols (RS485, TCP/IP, RTSP, Mavlink)
  • Confident using debugging tools and analyzing logs, telemetry, and system behavior
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced R&D environment with cross-functional teams
  • Strong attention to detail, structured thinking, and analytical skills
  • English — intermediate and higher (for documentation and team collaboration)

Nice to have

  • Experience testing STM32 / ARM-based or other embedded systems
  • Exposure to SITL / HITL or system-in-the-loop setups
  • Understanding of hardware prototyping, board bring-up, and basic soldering/debugging
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
  • Knowledge of software/hardware safety and reliability principles
  • Experience with UAVs or mission-critical platforms in aerospace, robotics, or defense
