About Us
STARK is a new kind of defence technology company revolutionizing the way autonomous systems are deployed across multiple domains. We design, develop and manufacture high performance unmanned systems that are software-defined, mass-scalable, and cost effective. This provides our operators with a decisive edge in highly contested environments.
We’re focused on delivering deployable, high-performance systems—not future promises. In a time of rising threats, STARK is bolstering the technological edge of NATO Allies and their Partners to deter aggression and defend Europe—today.
Your mission
As a Mission Simulation Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining advanced mission simulation environments. These environments serve as critical tools for our internal software development, AI training pipelines, customer training, and go-to-market activities in the defense sector.
You will work with simulation technologies like Virtual Battlespace 4 (VBS4) to create realistic, dynamic, and versatile virtual environments. Your efforts will support everything from AI data generation to system integration and training scenarios for our unmanned systems software solutions.
This role combines technical integration, scripting, and system engineering skills with an understanding of military operational contexts.
Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science, Simulation Engineering, Game Development, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience with simulation environments, ideally within defense, aerospace, or related industries.
Hands-on experience with Virtual Battlespace 4 (VBS4), including mission scripting and API integration.
Strong programming/scripting skills (Python, C#, or similar).
Familiarity with simulation data pipelines and synthetic data generation techniques.
Structured, analytical, and solution-driven mindset.
Strong communication skills for collaboration across technical and operational teams.
Ability to translate military operational concepts into technical simulation scenarios.
Fluent in English; German is a plus.
Nice to have:
Background in military simulation, modeling & simulation (M&S), or defense training systems.
Knowledge of AI training pipelines, machine learning data requirements, and synthetic data methodologies.
Experience with video streaming, telemetry handling, and real-time system integration.
Familiarity with GIS data, terrain modeling, and environmental simulation aspects.
If you´re intersted in building the future of European Defence with us, and you see yourself reflected on the description above, please send us your CV in English. We´re looking forward to meeting you!
