Your mission
We are seeking an experienced Business Development & Capture Manager to drive international growth for STARK’s Unmanned Systems. This role is critical in identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities in the defence sector, building strategic partnerships, and expanding our global market presence. Working with the bid and proposal teams to ensure contract award, reporting to the Sales Director.

Responsibilities
  • Opportunity identification, qualification and capture; including shaping opportunities, developing win strategies, and supporting the proposal processes to secure contracts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align solutions with customer needs and requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government, MOD, defence contractors, and international partners.
  • Support the development of compelling bids and proposals, ensuring alignment with customer priorities and compliance with defence procurement.
  • Challenge assumptions and requirements to ensure strategies focus on high-value opportunities and deliver competitive advantages.
  • International market entry conducted with a multi-channel strategy. 
  • Represent STARK at international industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to promote our solutions and build brand recognition.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in sales; business development, capture management, or a similar role within the defence industry.
  • Proven track record of securing contracts or partnerships in the defence.
  • Experience working with government procurement processes, ideally familiarity with Shipley Method.
  • Experience in forecasting and managing pipelines.
  • Familiarity with unmanned systems, mission management software, or related technologies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment with a strong drive for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Must be able to communicate fluently and professionally in English, other European languages would be beneficial.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain Security Clearance.
  • Comfortable with international travel
