UAS Technician

Permanent employee, Full-time · Munich

About Us

STARK is a new kind of defence technology company revolutionizing the way autonomous systems are deployed across multiple domains. We design, develop and manufacture high-performance unmanned systems that are software-defined, mass-scalable, and cost effective. This provides our operators with a decisive edge in highly contested environments.

We’re focused on delivering deployable, high-performance systems - not future promises. In a time of rising threats, STARK is bolstering the technological edge of NATO Allies and their Partners to deter aggression and defend Europe - today.

Your mission
Turn your hobby into a career.
Our UAS Technicians are builders, not keyboard warriors.
People who realise they haven’t opened their laptop in two weeks because they’ve been too busy fixing, tweaking, cutting, gluing, soldering, rebuilding and improving things with their hands.
You don’t need to know how everything works - we have experts for that (we hope).
What we need is someone who can spot a problem, ask the right question, pick up a tool, and get moving.
And yes - Flight testing means we´ll break things.
You’ll be fixing them. Often.
Responsibilities
  • Build and repair unmanned aircraft using carbon, foam, tape, epoxy, clamps, whatever gets the job done.
  • Fix the aircraft we break during testing - sometimes properly, sometimes creatively, always quickly.
  • Install servos, motors, wiring looms, engines, batteries, payloads and all the fun tactile bits.
  • Support flight tests: launches, recoveries, fast field repairs, “why is this smoking?” moments.
  • Prototype new ideas with engineers - fast, practical, hands-on work, zero bureaucracy.
  • Pick up new skills constantly; we’ll teach you what you don’t know.
Qualifications
  • You haven’t opened your laptop in weeks because your hands were full of tools.
  • You’ve built RC planes, cars, boats, drones, engines, go-karts, or anything mechanical “for fun".
  • You’re happiest solving problems with your hands, not PowerPoints.
  • You see something broken and instinctively reach for the screwdriver.
  • You ask the right questions even when you don’t yet know the answers.
  • You learn by doing - not by waiting around.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Soldering basics
  • Composite or foam repair
  • RC flying or racing experience
  • 3D printing
  • Workshop or motorsport background

Why This Job Exists
Because some of the best technicians on earth learned by building things in garages, sheds, club fields and messy workshops - not classrooms. And they’re exactly the kind of people we want.

If you´re interested in building the future of European Defence with us, and you see yourself reflected in the description above, please send us your CV in English. We´re looking forward to meeting you!
