About Us

STARK is a European defence technology company founded in 2023, specialising in the development and production of advanced UAV systems for modern military operations. Our flagship platform, Virtus, is a next-generation VTOL loitering munition system that combines precision, autonomy, and reliability to deliver tactical superiority on the battlefield.

About the team

The Hardware R&D Department is our company’s engineering "special forces," driving the future of UAV tech. We operate at the intersection of rapid prototyping and cutting-edge hardware, turning bold concepts into flight-ready systems. Our team thrives on solving non-standard technical challenges, bypassing red tape, and pushing materials and components to their absolute limits in extreme environments.

As a UAV Assembly Mechanic, you will be the hands that bring these cutting-edge designs to life. You’ll turn engineering schematics into precision-built prototypes, working closely with engineers to assemble, integrate, and fine-tune next-generation drone platforms for real-world flight testing.

Your mission

To transform cutting-edge engineering concepts and schematics into flight-ready, precision-built UAV prototypes that push the limits of technology.

Responsibilities

  • Prototype Assembly: manual assembly of experimental UAV prototypes (multirotors, fixed-wing, VTOL) based on technical documentation and engineering specs.
  • System Installation: mounting and wiring motors, flight controllers, navigation systems, video links, and antenna modules.
  • Electronics Work: component soldering, custom cable harness fabrication, and PCB quality checks.
  • Mechanical Fabrication: working with composite materials (carbon fiber, fiberglass) and operating 3D printers to produce mounts and auxiliary parts.
  • Testing & Maintenance: participating in bench and field testing of prototypes; performing quick repairs and structural modifications post-test.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in UAV assembly, repair, and maintenance.
  • Technical Skills: proficiency with soldering tools and bench/fitting equipment.
  • Software Knowledge: understanding of configuration software (Betaflight, ArduPilot, Mission Planner).
  • Personal Attributes: strong attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to solve non-standard tasks under tight deadlines.
